Clear coverage starts with clear expectations.
A useful monitoring plan specifies what can be observed, when it will be reviewed and what happens next. Confirm these details before service begins.
Coverage depends on the view
Only selected camera views and agreed hours are covered. Blind spots, poor light, obscured views, unavailable access or connectivity failures can limit observation.
Observation has limits
Monitoring does not guarantee every incident will be noticed or prevented. An observation is not proof of someone's identity, intent or wrongdoing.
Escalation follows the agreed instructions
Remote monitoring does not include onsite attendance, guarding or keyholding. Authority attendance, response time, deterrence and recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Counter observation and POS data are different
A camera view shows visible actions. Matching them with refunds, voids or other transaction records requires separately agreed, compatible data access and usable timestamps. No universal POS integration is promised.
Agree the deliverables
Reports support management review; they are not certified forensic findings. Define reporting frequency, recipients and follow-up responsibilities in the service scope. Review NETEX's published service limitations alongside your agreement.
